• Elementary principal at Carey and Shell Rock Schools.
• Started teaching in 1984 as a physical education teacher at St. Paul's School in Waverly.
• Became an elementary principal at Southeast School in WSR in 1995 and was shared with Clarksville Schools. Began full time 2003 in Waverly-Shell Rock.
• Received her high school diploma from Davenport Central, earned her B.A. from UNI, and earned her M.A. from UNI.
• Worked for the Parks and Rec. program in her hometown every summer as a park recreation leader until she graduated from college, and then she became a teacher and a principal.
• Her birthday celebration is October 28 ...
• Interests include reading, walking, and taking long and adventurous car trips with the family every summer.
• Became a teacher to help make a positive impact on students.  It is a very rewarding and fulfilling profession.
• Has a husband and three children
•  Iowa's Elementary Principal of the Year in 2001.

• Taught 5-12 band at Janesville for four years and has been at W-SR for five years
• Earned a Bachelor's Degree from UNI in 1994
• Master's degree in May 2004. 
• Completed three levels of Orff-Schulwerk training at the University of St. Thomas.
• Directs three 5/6 percussion ensembles, two recorder ensembles, and chorus club
• Directs two handbell choirs at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls
• Handbell soloist and has performed twice with the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra
• Presented handbell/handchime workshops for the IMEA Convention in Ames and First Iowa Orff
• Recorded two holiday CDs
• In the past, he has helped with the choreography for the high school musicals and served as color guard coordinator.
• He lives in Cedar Falls and has a cat
• He works part time at The Buckle at Crossroads Mall
• Completed a Master's Degree in Music Education from UNI in 2004.
• Completed three levels of Orff-Schulwerk Teach Training at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
• Currently serves as NE Iowa Mentor Chair for IMEA, Chimes Chairperson for the Iowa AGEHR Committee, and Programming Chair for the First Iowa Orff Chapter.
