State Mock Trial Finalist Team
Winner of the Judge Anthony Critelli Award for Professional Conduct, Courtroom Decorum, Civility & Sportsmanship. The Critelli Award is voted by the 300+ state mock trial participants. It is a most coveted award. It has been awarded the last two years in honor of Judge Critelli. The is the second year in a row that Waverly-Shell Rock has been awarded this recognition.
Waverly-Shell Rock's Gold Mock Trial Team finished 1st in the regional mock trial competition Saturday, March 15 2008, at the Black Hawk County Court House after winning both their rounds. The team consists of Clare Boerigter, Indigo Scott, Dan Meyers, Megan Cotter, Nathan Bleadorn, Kaylee Benning, Alex McGregor, Kristin Jentz and Faithe Guyer. They will represent Waverly-Shell Rock at the 2008 State Mock Trial Tournament March 25 -27 at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines. At the state convention they must participate in 3 rounds. The top 32 teams in the state will be competing. Waverly's Black Team placed fourth
